LAST DAY!!!!!

Holy Cow!! I never thought this day would come, my last day of clinic, EVER!! That's so exciting. I had my husband come in today, which was his first time ever being seen here. Wierd cause you'd think I would have used him a long time ago. And for this afternoon, I get to have my teeth cleaned, which I need. This semester has gone by so fast, I can't believe it. It has been quite the adventure and I have learned a huge amount of information. Congratulations to everyone in my class, we deserve it!!!!

One more day to go!

So today I had to make up a day in clinic because I only went to the VA six times instead of seven, and heaven forbid I only go six times! It actually wasn't that bad, I scheduled a IB in the morning and a IB in the afternoon. Tough, I know. Well the good news is that I only have one more clinic day left!!! Woo Woo! I'm so excited, I never thought the day would come.

Finally finished!

So today I finally finished all of my requirements!!!! I was waiting to finish my kids today and it happened. What a good feeling and now I only have two more clinic days left!! Oh and I passed all of my boards!!! I never thought the day would come but it did!!! Congrats to everyone else.

Relaxing Day!

Well today was a relaxing day, I had a 1b in the morning and i just did sealants in the afternoon. What a great day especially after what the whole class has gone through--BOARDS!!! I received my results for the clinical section and I PASSED! What a relief. Waiting for the results is the worst thing I have ever been through. These boards either make your life or break it. Now all that I have to do is wait for the written results and I hope that I pass! Cross your fingers!

The Day After!

Well today is the first day back after the clinical boards and its going to be an easy day. My sister came in this morning and then I just have a class 5 in the afternoon. It's nice to have an east day after boards. All I can say is holy crap boards are so stressful and is the worst thing ever. I have my written on friday and I can't wait til it is over. I have had at least two nightmares that I failed the clinical and that sucks I hope my nightmare doesn't come true. Cross your fingers!!!!

Very Productive Day!

So I have finished all quad requirements for this semester, which is so relieving. Today I accomplished 4 qauds of a 3, placed 3 perio chips, 4 quads of a 5, nitrous PE, and arestin PE. The only PE left is the caries risk assessment. It feels so good to finish so many things at once. we are so close to the end of the semester, it feels awesome. Now to focus on the BIG BOARDS ahead, good luck to everyone. we all will do great.

LA Mockboards!

So today was our LA mockboard and I was pretty nervous. I was the first one on the schedule for the day. Lets just say that I was sweating, shaking, and had to go to the bathroom so bad but had no time. The good news is that I passed which is awesome because usually most people don't pass on the mockboard because they watch your every move and are strict, which they should be. Then I took the written LA moakboard and thought that it was pretty easy, lets just hope that I pass that one too!!!!

Last Mockboard!!!!!

Today was our last mockboard before the real boards. I was really nervous and stressed out during the appointment because I could not remove a couple of deposits. To make a long story short-- it was his anatomy and not deposits, who knew. I only missed one spot which is great because he is my real board patient. Pray that he shows.

Today was a very productive day. I accomplished many things which is great, I needed that. I am getting a little nervous, boards is approaching quickly. We have one more mockboard next week and I am crossing my fingers that my patient shows up because he is also my board patient. I can't believe how fast time is going, before we know it school will be over!!!!

AWESOME!!

This will be short and sweet. I accomplished 2 PE's, 3 quads of a class 4 and examed them all and administered 7 injections. What a good day!!!!!

MOCKBOARDS!!

So today was another mockboard day and I have to say I was a little nervous. Tossed and turned all night long and was wide awake at 5:30. Once I put my patient in the chair I was good to go. It was like another day in clinic. To make a long story short, I PASSED!!! Which was awesome because I didn't do so well on the last mockboard. I only missed two spots and a stupid mistake on my recession, which I shouldn't have. But, all in all it was a good day and I'm excited that it is coming to an end.

Another day gone!

So today wasn't the greatest. I struggled finding a patient since mine cancelled on me, but I found one last night thanks to Katee's husband's spanish skills and what do you know, they don't show up. Who does that? Anyways, a patient came in and I actually saw him and got a class 2 exam done on him. Better than just sitting around. My afternoon was so easy, just a 1B but she thought she was at least a three, hah that's funny- if she only knew. It's good to see that day gone!!!!!

Alisha is the GREATEST!!!!

So today was interesting. To start off my morning patient received 3 IA injections and still wasn't numb. That was awesome. The best part of the day, however, was that my good friend Alisha found me my mockboard and board patient!!!! HOly Cow. The only downfall is that I don't think that he is reliable because he wants his teeth cleaned now. I hope my sweet talking will make him be the one.

Productive day!

Well my class 4 patient came back today and I was a little scared because she said she was pregnant and I did LA on her last week which is not good. Well to make a long story short it was a false alarm, she wasn't prego. Which was probably sad for her but good for me because she really needed to be cleaned. I did 3 successful injections and 3 more PE's which was awesome. For my afternoon, I was expecting him to be a real winner because everytime I would call he was so rude, I hated calling him. But I think once he saw how cute I was!!! j/k he ended up being a real nice guy. He wanted my number to supposedly give it to his friend so he could come in! yeah right, I just told him to call the clinic and ask to be seen with me. What a good day!! until next week.

A NEW SEMESTER!!!

Well the time has come to start another semester. Let me add that it is my last semester!!! Yeah, I'm so excited. Today was my first clinic session and to top it off my morning patient no showed me and so my dearest mother came up to see me. She is so awesome and I passed off two PE's on her. My aftrernoon was a little tricky. I was super nervous because it was my class four and every one of her teeth are basically mobile, yep mobile!!! I successfully did two injections and completed one quad with only one mistake and completed another two PE's. WOO!!! it ended up being a good day!!!!
